How to slow work down and make time for the things that really matter

You've heard of slow food and slow living?  These movements are helping us to reconnect to a more natural rhythm of life - eating seasonally, living within the natural boundaries of available resources, reducing our impact on the planet.

So how about slow working?  Imagine work being more in tune with who you are, what you do well naturally, how you are as a person, what circumstances and environments allow you to flourish and do your best work - less strive, more flow.

Slower work is likely from home, or very near to it - GOAL for reducing your environmental impact.  Slower working probably means earning less, which means spending less, therefore consuming less - GOAL again for Mother Earth.  In choosing life over money you're growing your sense of having enough of everything, lessening your need for more stuff, which is another GOAL in the general direction of evolving your values and your all-round contribution to responsible global stewardship.

Slow working is about having more time to focus on the things that really matter to you.  Slow work allows for life to happen, and lets you operate in harmony with your world, not parallel to it, or worse, in conflict.

Slow work is the opposite of this:

The rat race mentality isn't serving humanity. Time to change the way we work.  Time to slow down.
